just woundering, i am toying with the idea of getting the ss hood for my 96 rs what i would like to do is to have it functional, is this possible? i wasnt sure if i could change the throttle body to get that airbox to line up with the plumbing in the hood. does anyone out there know if this could be done any input would be welcome.....

im not sure... i havent seen any ram air intake setups that will fit a 3.8 but you might be able to modify one.... but if you have a CAI already it isnt worth making a ram air functional...

well i dont have the cold air intake yet but i knew i wanted that hood and if i could kill 2 birds with one stone that would be great plus not many people have those hoods operational and i thought it would be sweet to have it working and not just for looks. i just wasnt sure if that 3800 could be converted to line the airbox up like it needs to be

With some flex ducting , you could make it work with any hood. Just make sure you have like a hea sheild to protect if . well only if you use like rubber / plastic so it doesn't melt.
