How would I get an Isp tracker do I download it or do I have to purchase one?

is this about what we were talking about? I told you dude. if something serious is going on like that you need to contact the police. and they will cooperate. They should be able to contact AOL's IM security department and get more information. Then they will know the users IP and ISP and the ISP will also cooperate. However, this is something that you have no business doing yourself. I suggest you have this girls parents contact the local police department.

by "interesting" do you mean illegal?

Something to add, I was experimenting (not hacking or anything, just educational use) with a network sniffer, and I found out that MSN, and AIM actually send the message to their server first, and forward it to you, so there is no direct connection made.
