ok heres the reason i decided to get cutouts.
I was sitting at a light when a guy in a riced out civic pulls up, naturally i give it a lil rev, instead of revving it the guy in the civic turns up his system, it was a pretty good system my car started shaking the thought went through my head. "Goddam i wish i had electric cutouts right now, i could blow that wing off the back of that piece, and make that guy not even be able to hear his system." So next time that happens i will now be prepared.

line locks would be nice for a situation like that too.... if he cant hear you... or see you.... you've just become untouchable

my dad has got those on his cuda, the switch is hidden away and the car is all cammed there great to open to impress a few ppl, and shake some windows, close them right back up for cops and such. its worth it for the money

What the f*** is a cutout ? Is it like a electric bypass for a muffler / cat or somethin ?
Whatever it is , sounds neat-o.

yup, its a bypass for the muffler... they make both electic and manual versions (manual being u have to go under the car to engage them)

Doesn't work to well at a stop light I imagine or going 100 mph on the freeway to do it manually heh. How long do the electric units last ?
