I want to upgrade my factory radio to xm by adding module and antenna. Does anyone know how big a job it is and any tips. I don't want aftermarket

Go aftermarket. The GM factory kit is a very, very complex install. The kit linked below installed with a simple pass-through connection on the radio, and then you have to run the antenna. I did it myself in about 30-45 minutes. All you have to do is pull the radio, plug it in, mount the receiver, run the antenna, and voila! WIth the GM kit you are required to drill the roof, and change around the wiring configuration in the connectors. Looks like at least a 2 hour job!

The kit below integrates just as the GM kit would, for a slightly lower price! MSRP on the GM kit is ~$450. The kit below is $300! To change to XM, I just press the band button - goes from FM to AM to XM. Wow I sure sound like a salesman now.. haha, but yeah, this kit kicks ass.
