If i swap my v6 engine to a v8 engine in my 2000 mustang will my insurance go up?

my dad wants to do the same thing to my stang so just dont tell them cuz if u do ur insurance will probally double

A buddy of mine did the swap and at a later date he was in a wreck...he had his ride towed to his house where he that night pulled the engine and sat it on the floor beside the car,the adjuster questioned where the engine was and he told them it was a "loaner" and he had to remove it to give it back,he didnt want them to find out he had a V8 or maybe his insurance would be void. something to keep in mind.
