New casting possibility?

For those of us looking to make copies of parts for cheap and ease, I found these while researching. They are both 1:1 mix.

Not sure how good it is, but the curing time looks a tad long. I'm very tempted to buy them and see how well they work, the person selling from the site says it works really well a she has molded all the pics it shows.

That's what I use, don't even need a vacuum chamber for the molds, but a pressure chamber could help with some parts. - Mark

That's the same RTV that Micromark sells under their name. It's good for basic stuff but it doesn't last very long. It doesn't take undercuts well, tears easily, and sticks to your parts after a few pulls. If you don't want to buy a digital scale to mix the 10:1 stuff this will get you by. It says 24 hour cure but you can pull it apart in about 16, although why rush it? Don't tell me you can't find something to do in 24 hours :)

Another vote for Smooth-on. They're top notch and have helped me a lot with their products.

You'll find that if the rubber is not vacuumed, when you pressure cast in it you'l get little bumps. There are still small bubbles that will collapes in the rubber leaving little bumps on the resin part.
