2000 Lumina Problems

I have two problems currently. My car is dead at the momment but this has happened several times in the last couple of weeks. We took the battery off, cleaned the cables and took it to Auto Zone and they said the battery was good and charged it. It has died again!! We changed the alt. about 1 1/2 years ago. The coil wires have been changed, plugs etc. Any help would be appreciated.

2nd problems. After taking the battery out this last time and putting it back in, the next morning my air would "run" but it would not blow out the front vents. I can tell is blowing some how because the car gets warm etc. What could this be? We checked fuses but from there we are at a loss.

2nd problem is probably the vacuum-electric solenoid under the passenger dash, or the switch/associated wiring. Check for vacuum leaks and wiring integrity.
