Shattering a clutch

how do u shatter a clutch and does this happen often? cuz I read on the forums that a guy shattered his like 3 times in two months, dont know how you could do that.

reving up and droping the clutch will help shatter it....

bad shifts will too, like if you dont take your foot off the gas all the way when you put the clutch in to shift

when i shift i only let the RPMs drop about 1 grand,,, i dont take my foot all the way off.....

Many people dont let off the gas when shifting, that doesnt shatter discs. Its quite uncommon. But, like any mechanical part, they can fail on occassion. A friend of mine had one shatter when going over a bad pothole. And he wasnt even using the clutch. Just knocked some springs out. Weird shit happens :) But I've never broken a disc launching hard or shifting at full throttle. ACT seems to have had a bad batch of discs lately though, springs busting all over the place these days. That may be why it seems common all of a sudden...
