How much is a 94 passport with 147,000 miles (+change) worth with no transmission?

I opted to remove the bad transmission and scrap the truck to the highest bidder!

why don't you got to www.car-parts.com and buy a used on then sell it.

What' wrong with the current tranny?

amigo-2k been there done that!
went the cheap route first high mileage tranny for 750. All rebuilds were almost double that. Seeing that I paid 3200 dollars for this truck two years ago, I could not and still can not justify more than a 1000 dollar to fix it. The current tranny that is in the truck is used one that has a warranty with it. I take it out and get the 750 back.
As far as what is wrong with it, it is an electrical problem of some sort. The Check Trans light is blinking and it is in "safe mode" the computer suggested it to be the 2-3 shift solenoid, so it was bench tested and it failed, they replaced it and now the light is blinking again and it is back in safe mode. My tran. shop guy told me we could continue to swap out all the solenoids the computer is telling us is bad at 150 dollars a pop or his "best guess" is the computer is fried!

scorwell- the only other thing I can think of is a broken wire on the tranny wiring harness running around the tranny / tranny tunnel. This is a fairly common thing on 1993-1997 rodeos/pports. Carefully inspect the black plastic wire looms for rub marks. I guess on those years, they had rubbing problems with those wire looms rubbing on the tranny & chassis.
G/luck
