While walking to class today my instructor stopped me and talked to me for a little bit, then we went to his office where he said he had something he needed to ask me. He wanted to know if i was interested in being the shop foreman for the automotive department until i graduate this spring. I didn't even know what to say at first cause it's kind of an honor to be called shop foreman whether it's in an actual shop or for class. But i told him i would do it; i guess there's a lot of responsibilities involved in it though, like keeping track of the money everyone spends on gettting parts to fix the cars and what not. And making sure everyone stays busy, basically like a boss. I'm kind of excited though cause it will give me a look into what it would be like running a shop with people working under you. Anyway i just thought i would share this... flattering.. moment with you guys.
thanks

I had the same job when I was in highschool. It's very flattering to be asked, and it's good experience. Congrats.

Congratulations. Yes but it will look good if you put it on your resume and job applications. I am sure you will do fine. I don't think your instructor would have approached you if he didn't feel you were competent enough to do the job.
