If i swap my v6 engine to a v8 engine in my 2000 mustang will my insurance go up?

Not if you don't tell the insurance company :naughty:
Of course the problem is that if they ever found out and just happened to owe you money at the time (such as if you were in an accident) they could use it as a reason not to pay.

My cousin is a state farm agent and he said that they cannot refuse to pay your settlement, they just give you what the car is worth at the stated contracted value( basically giving you what you would get if it was still a V6) although some insurance policies have clause that void any type of claim once thier is major alteration to the powertrain, IE engine swap. Just do some homework and go over your insurance contract. Also you might be able to insure the parts or the V8 itself through a specialty insurance company. check that out too
