ticking after remote car starter installed

I hust had a remote care starter installed on my 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT recently. Ever since it was installed now I have a tick sound (like a turn signal sound) coming from the dash near my stereo unit. Any ideas on what is going on. Sometimes the sound is repeated over and over again and sometimes every few minutes just one tick. I have had the remote car starter checked out by the company 2x and they say it is not the remote car starter. A friend of mine recently had a remote car starter installed on her Tahoe and it is doing the same thing..help???

it IS your remote starter!! Tell them to fix it!
