Wow, really great looking!
Lowriding is not my style, but this one is really cool! (the other one too).
Can't wait for your 23-style windows, which is on my wanted-list.

That is some good looking VW! This forum sucks :naughty: as it tends to drain my wallet from time to time and your build doesn't help very much to keep my money put! I think I have to give in to this temptation and get me some of thoose early MPV's. I have some crazy ideas on this subject....no, I won't tell :icon16: You'll just wait and see. Anyway, very cool ride you made, I'd love to drive it's 1/1 brother.

Nice to hear that from you.
BTW, you're the cause to this virus!! :evillol:
Now if I only had your skills....
I guess the 23 window wil be Cali-surf style. Have some ideas already. Thinking of white & orange or white & babyblue or white & lemongreen...
Gonna look for that kit this sunday, hope they have it in stock.
Is there a big difference between the Hasegawa and the Revell one?
Amazing!!
Wich kits are they?
Well, guess Deedlit already answered that question....
It's from Hasegawa:

Is that real wood on the bed?
Micha
Nope, it 's plastic. I'm still working on a new "bedrack" that wil be covered with real wood. The old one was to wide:banghead:
Thx for all those positive words!

Is there a big difference between the Hasegawa and the Revell one?
I think they are exactly the same, but I can't confirm.
For the 23, I would go for lemon green / white . I have a project in lemon green which should look nice next to yours. I should start it soon (to bring me back in the mood)
And don't worry about your skills

isn't the revell a rebox of the hasegawa?!
as for the 23 color combo... how about mica red & pearl white with the stockers or with some wire wheels?! just a thought. good luck!
frank>>> great work on that samba too. what color did you use?

Thx. I'm still working on a new rack. The first one was to wide as I mesured it without the sidepanels in place:banghead:. And bending was no solution(for me)

Thx Frank. Wire wheels are not my thing on a Splitbus. Although I've seen a verry nice one somewhere on the net.
About the colors:
The Samba Van is Tamiya British green en Tamiya Sand
The Samba pick-up is Tamiya also, Ijn grey(airplains).

Were you trying to keep it a secret Davy? Hehe. Did you try using the tamiya ones? I think I'm going to use them on my panel. How's the 23 window going btw?
