ok, last night, there was a HUGE storm here....rain was coming down in sheets, i had to hit the hazzards and pull over a sec it was so bad...my wipers couldnt keep up! i dislike my wipers...this is a civic CX from 92..now, its not my blades im talking about, but the actual motion of them......it seems the "low" or "light" setting is still too fast, and the fast setting is not fast enough.....well, not so much not fast enough, just the low setting is too fast..i want them to go every 5 seconds or so when on low setting..rather than up n down up n down up n down like they do now..how possible (if at all) would it be to alter this? im assuming they use some kind of relay to the motor....so i could either change the relay, or would i change the motor? or do neither and just deal with it? :)
has anyone ever done/heard of such a thing? any advice is appreciated..

yeah, it was like that here in binghamton last night...and its mad windy right now. i could feel myself hydroplane a bit.
but as for the wipers, i really dont see why it isnt at all possible....its gotta have something contolling them, why cant i change whats controlling them? it had to be put there at one point...

in theory i would imagine replacing the wiper motor relay with a faster action one would work.

maybe if i got "performance" wipers (those big white plastic ones) they'd be better

the two best products in the world are super glue and rainX. i love rainX once you use it you wont be able to go with out it. it costs about 3 bucks for a bottle that will last a year or more. you apply it once a month or less. and kiss your wiper problems good by you wont even need them very often. on the highway you will never need them.

yeah, i have rainX..didnt have it on last night, but honestly, rainx wouldnt have done shit in that situation..even faster wipers wouldnt really either, but i dunno the weather last night had me thinkin about it.

I don't like it when it rained at night while I had the rainX...:(

Hehehe... my old Hyundai Excel had an adjustable "low" setting and had an adequate high setting. :finger:

Just put Rain X on and drive faster. :D
And JB weld is better than superglue. ;)
Hey it could be worse, it could be snowing like it always does in Binghamton.
We got lucky this winter.
