Revell model defect

As you can see by this photo the model I have just bought is defected. I was wondering if someone could direct me as to a way to fix it. Or is returning the model the best way to go?

heat it up just enough 2 bend it back perfect i guess. :)

looks like it must have been crushed while stored. One of my biggest fears when stashing models in the closet =O

No need to take it bak. If it's just the A-piller, no need to even heat it. Just carefully apply pressure on the part until it's flexed a tiny bit past where it should be, then let it go. It should return to its correct shape after doing this just a couple times.

I think i might just take it back because I don't want to damage it further. I take it back and get the really cool camaro they ahd in there for the same price.

Mate, just pinch it with you fingers and slowly move the A pillar back in, easy. I've had kits with far worse damage then that! try a 1959 Impala convertile that was so warped it took 30 mins of hot water soaking to get it to bend back, I had to repeat that process 3 times.

He's right. Just bend it back to correct position. If it won't stay there use the hot water method (run it under hot water, bend it back to the correct position and while holding it run it under cold water). It is surprisingly difficult to stuff it up.

I had a similar problem with a Revell Mercedes 600 S, i wrote to them (link below) explaining the matter & they sent me new body parts & i didnt even have to return the damaged body.

I'm going to replace this model(1999 Mustang cobra) with a 1971 chevy camaro which I saw at the same shop. Because I bought two mustangs at the same time from there, so I'm lucky I have a reason to change it over.
