first it would be nice to know what king of engine it is! You said it was a B series engine.
Is it a TWIN CAM? Does it say DOHC VTEC on it?
Hmm good to change the oil, transmission fluid, rotor and ignitor in the distributor and the distributor seal. Flush and replace radiator fluid also
Oh and replace the timing belt and water pump!
That would be good just for a good tune up. Then when you get more fundage! do a compression and leakdown test to see what you have to work with!

ill get a chance to look tomorrow after i tow the car to my g pas where ill be working on it, the distributor was riped off so that is brand new, and while he was at it he replaced the timeing belt. clames he jumped the timeing but never rotated the setting, radiator took a good blow when distributor was stolen (less then six months ago) and has a brand new radiator, water pump was replaced with the radiator, so was the plugs and wires, that much is done, its a 2 door, and in the back seat i need one of the pannels (drivers side plastic, back seat) where should i go about gitting this? bone yards have absolutely nothing. and the heater wire was cut, can i solder it back together or should i pull the line and replace it?? ill get some more infor tomorrow afternoon
Edit:also, its a mess (wireing wise) under the hood, would i be best off to try a painless wire kit or should i try and orgignise things first and see where i come out at??

the engine code will be stamped on the block on a small pad just to the left of the exhaust manifold if you looked tward the motor. Just clean up the wires under the hood with some wire loom. You can solder the heater wire back together, it wont hurt anything. basic tuneup: spark plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor, pcv valve, fuel filter. Flush radiator and change tranny fluid like said above.
