I have a 98 honda civic and just about a month ago my driver window started acting funny. The damn thing with get about aninch from the top and then it will start vibrating bad and won't go up...I have power windows. My friend told me take the trim panel off and tighten the bolts that hold the window, but they were tight...what is the problem here...this is getting frustrating I have to bag my window when it rains!

my window would only go half way up, so i had to tak the trim panel off, then go to the hole where the speaker was and get the window into the track there, it was a bitch, on both sides too

I had the same problem. You need to take that panel off and get it lined up with the track. It is a bitch but it's better than baggin it...

if you unscrew the window from the regulator it's easier to set the glass back into the track, you can kinda rotate/twist the window back into the track, that way you don't bend the track arm, regulator, or risk breakin the glass...probably a duh suggestion, but us teachers feel compelled to state the obvious.
