It didn't come with the whole suspension torn out like that. The broken stud was discovered during the pre-delivery inspection.

Not sure, I didn't over-see the production and shipping of the car from start to finish.

i love ur mercedes dealership stories blindside. Especially the one about the SLR mclaren and all the steps needed to just replace the spark plugs. I heard some parts of the mclaren engine is made out of 24k gold, is this true?

God mercedes quality sucks. I still don't understand why you would buy an E-Class intead of a 5 series of GS. Cool pics though

Not any of the actual engine parts, just the lining of the Trunk/Hood, Gold is good at reflecting heat.

I've noticed a severe drop in Mercedes quality levels since they started using the faster, cheaper production methods they aimed to learn from Chrysler in the Daimler-Benz/Chrysler merger. While Chrysler quality is great for a Chrysler, it's not so great for a "premium" auto demanding premium prices...
Old Benzes were bulletproof. I say split up the merger!

I would agree that they need to split up, but my point was that you have Merc to blame for that, not Chrysler.

LMAO :)
God mercedes quality sucks.
Amen. I figuire this would be a good time to say that Cadillac has totally OWNED Mercedes, as well as pretty much every other competing company in the world when it comes to quality. The new CTS, STS, SRX, and CTS-V (all made here near my beloved home-town) totally kick the asses out of all the competition quality-wise. On the last test, the only company the beat Caddy was Lexus, and they only beat them by one point.
