You guys ever realize it how things will be in the future like 10 years from now DSMs will just die out slowly dosent it make you sad look at how much you guys love your cars today. And soon slowly 1 by 1 people will sell their cars off they will die out and all. It just makes me sad even though i just recently got my GSX but in the future it just wont be the same DSM community. Dosent it make you guys sad how all the fun times you have had Modding your DSM and all soon will start to die out.
sorry for no commas my bad.

yea true but i dont think they would really die out in 10 years. Look at the old crx, still a very famous car to get and modify, but i still feel really sad that were gonna be old pretty soon :(

The vendors haven't really slowed down, so until prices go up, I will be fine. I don't want everyone on the street to have my car. Maybe someday nobody will know what a talon is (compared to 1% now) and when their electric car gets smoked, they don't know what it was.

ya it makes you sad thinking about people parting out their car or selling it and things like that. Kevin Jake and stuff i hope you guys stick to DSMs for the rest of your lives. It would be a real shame if i came on to AF one day and i saw a post from like kevin saying "Sorry guys im done with DSMs im moving on" or something like that.

As soon as the new eclipse come out, the 2gen eclipse will most likely be forgotten. Good thing is that we may be able to smoke 4g eclipse with just some mods. Be like "OLD SCHOOL BABY!!" haha

Yea true, but think of our cars getting old on a more positive side. One day, we might be considered as hot rodders or something of the sort. Also, if mitsubishi, with their big financial problems, ever go out of business our cars will maybe become classics. It does make me sad though. I have grown to love and hate my car so much that i would hate to get rid of it. Im still deciding after graduate school if i should just keep it or sell it. I wanna have a real nice sports car and a daily driver so i dont know if im gonna ditch the dsm or not. If i had all the money in the world though, i would buy 2 dsms and all the other cars that i like. Time will only tell.

If mitsu goes out of business I'm getting rid of the car. It will be impossible to get parts for them outside of generic things like clutches and spark plugs. No way... The reason the hot rods survive is the availability of parts. Aside from the massive aftermarket, you can even still get factory new motors/blocks/heads etc from chevy, or whoever. Mitsu will stop supporting these cars once they arent selling enough parts to make it worth keeping the tooling and the warehouse space, etc.

Well, i didnt think about it like that....but yea that sux. It makes sense because all the popular hot rods out today exist only because the company that made them exists. Good point!
