Timeing belt broke

My mechanic says that I would be never able to start ma engine again cause time'ing belt broke and valves bent. Now the engine is gone what should i do im pretty much screwed and i dont know alot bout cars but im lookin for engine any advice on where to get and anything would be very helpful thanks

Damn that sucks. I feel your pain though; We had a Dodge that the timing belt broke on and it went bam.

Well the first step would be removing the head to check for damage to the valves and pistons. It all depends on what RPM the engine was at when the belt let go.
Jap spec engines are pretty much the cheapest way out if the engine is trashed, There are places like Nippon motors, Japan Engines Inc, Eric Japan. Search Google there's are more engines around then you know.
