First, it may just be coincidence that the security light is coming on from time to time due to the unreliable nature of the GA's ignition switch.
Second, if it is also happening while running via remote start it could be due to the installation.
How did you do the by-pass for passlock? If you used a learning by pass module I would check the connection point at the OBDII data wire. Make sure the solder connection you made is good. If you didn't solder the connection what I like to do is "braid" the two wies togeter then tape them good then put a wire tie around the connection. If the connection is good there, make sure the by-pass module is connected to the proper "ground out when running" wire. Basically, double check all the connections, and if you have to, re-teach the bypass module.
If you did the bypass using the old way (with relays and splicing into the passlock wires off the ignition switch) I would double chect the resistance value of the lock cylinder and make sure to use a resistor with no less than a 5% tolerence. When doing this type of bypass YOU HAVE TO SOLDER THE CONNECTIONS AT THE LOCK CYLINDER. Otherwise you will end up with passlock issues down the road. HTH
