Lowering Suspecion

I was thinking about lowering my 97 altima by an inch or so. If anyone here lowered theirs can u tell me something about it like how much does it effect the ride quality, do I need something more then lowering springs ex...? Any advise you guys can give me I will appriciate.

Just get a lower size tire.

Taking the suspension down an inch really shouldn't give you any rub. The only troubles you may occur are in the shocks and struts. Since they are constantly compressed that 1", they tend to wear down faster and bottom out easier.

I guess the real question here would be "Does it actually improve the handleing on the Altima?". I was thinking of throwing on an Eibach pro spring kit. I just want to know if doing so (and lowering by an inch or so) will actually improve the handling. I've heard with some cars it has negative effects on handling.

Bump BUMP goes the car on a low "Suspecion" replace the factory tires with a lower profile and 17" rims and you are good to go

I lowered my 94 Altima and IH8SPM is right. The ride is very bumpy in a car with lowered suspension. Also if you are going to do it do it right and invest in some camber kits, they are reletively inexpensive and well worth it. If you dont your tires will have negative camber, which causes poor tire grip and accelerated tire wear.
