I have gone through the usual bad alternater sequence, and thought to have fixed the problem. Now i have 14 volts when running, but brake, voltage, and gas lights all are still on, and my heater/ac blower doesn't work. What is there to do? bad ground maybe? If anyone has any ideas that would be excellent.

This just happened to me now...the Heater/AC blower stopped working, along with the battery light, brake light, and fuel light on my dash. Is this an indicator of bad alternator or something loose? Please help. drove me nuts at work during lunch today trying to check the fuse, relay - all which looked fine.....good thing I wasnt the only one.

Did you verify 14VDC across the battery terminals with a quality volt/multi meter? (with truck running). The dash gauge is not accurate.

I called in NAPA Auto parts today to pick up a remanuf alternator. The voltage from the battery should be able to drive me home safely, but the heater doesnt work and its damn cold out (NJ weather) , and the battery, fuel, and brake light are annoying the crap out of me. Damn it, if its not one thing, its another with this old beater...lol

Oh boy... good luck with that!! I will admit, NAPA usually has top'o the line stuff when it comes to parts, including starters & alternators, but if this alternator is not 100%, which most remans are not, you will be in the same boat again real quick. I hate to keep saying it, and I've seen it happen COUNTLESS times now to 1993+ isuzu owners, but you have get a new alternator through isuzu if you want reliabilty.

I know dude, but those Isuzu ones are $$$! 500 bux is not cheap! Its 158 bux, so we'll see how long this alternator lasts. Wish me luck!

Who ever finds it will get a serious atta-boy!!! I dunno why, but the 'zu 3.2 with 4L30E tranny and all it's electronic wizzardry has to have steady, clean, constant currant or it's no-go :banghead: .

Update: As I was driving down the road, my problems went away! This happened twice today already. The heater blower started working again and the 3 lights on my dash (batt, fuel, brake) went away! WTF?? Loose wiring? Bad alternator still? Connectors messed up??? My truck is possessed!

I am having the Exact Same Problem as you and Tonupboy. I have replaced the alternator twice - once with a Pep Boys reman and a second time with one from the dealer. I have now spent about $600 on the problem and the brake, voltage, and gas lights still go on and off seemingly at random.
If anyone solves this problem, please let me know. Please!

Anyone have a clear answer to what the problem was here? Same started with my '94 Passport yesterday; fuel, brake and battery light all on. Heater blower stops. Problem comes and goes when lights are on, heater blower stops.
Any help appreciated!

I was just PM'ing MrMGA that its possible that the wiring or grounding by the alternator is corroding up or loose...I was speaking from experience and since MGA bought 2 alternators with the same problem, I would check the wires and see if water might have corroded them...can anyone confirm this?
I haven't had a problem with mine so I saved money from buying a new alternator...
