Does anybody know the actual name of this part? It is located just under the lock in the inside of the driver's door panel. It is a white plastic piece that has a tiny metal micro-switch that makes all of the other doors lock from the exterior key hole and in turn (I think) arms the alarm system. My friend refered to it as an "actuator". It seems to be easy to replace the switch and if I can find this part myself, I could possibly save a few hundred dollars. Please see my other post if you need more info on my car's issues. I have a 98 golf. Thanks!!!

I believe that you have to get the whole door latch assembly and you can not buy the individual microswitch.
