Front Air Deflector

I recently damaged my Front Air Deflector (the plastic wind-shield underneath the front bumper). I ordered a new one from a parts supply company. It did not come with the little plastic pegs that actually attach it to the bumper. I asked the auto parts guy that I ordered the part from and he said he did not even know what the part would be called (the pegs). Does anyone have any idea what I should be searching for (ie the name of these pegs?) Thanks.

Truck is an 02 Silverado without fog lights

In the owners manual they are simply called push pins. They may be a dealer only item, just a thought.

Dealer oughta have them. Did you damage the existing push pins? You can certainly re-use them if not..

Auction says they are fender flare clips but it is possible that they may work on your front air dam. Maybe someone knows for sure?

I think i know the ones you are talking about and these on the newer trucks are totally different, they are a 2 piece type where the ones you are refering to i do believe are the one piece kind. I could be wrong.

from what I can gather, they are actually 3 pieces, there is a pin, an outer piece of the pin, and a receptor that goes above the bumper, they could i guess be called 2 pieces since the pin and outer piece fit together. I have most of the old pins but i think the receptors that the pins fit into are misshappen due to the damage, they just don't fit snuggly. There are 13 total and I only have 10. Lost the other 3. What happened was, there was an extra high stop block in a parking lot (more like a curb) that I thought i could pull over until my front wheels touched. I was about 1/4 inch wrong. I pulled over it and did not hear anything until I backed out. The air dam was bent forward and just popped right out, destroying most of the holes in the air damn the pins fit into.

Thanks for all the suggestion, I will just talk to the dealer when I take my truck in for recall (the tail gate straps)

just try some zip ties. I tore off part of my front air dam when i dropped into a pretty deep mud hole and i lost 3 of those clips. i just used zip ties to hold it in place and i haven't had any problems with it.
