Hello everyone!
Recently, I've had many inquiries from members asking for ways to donate to AutomotiveForums.com. We currently do not have such a program in place, but are working on it, which will include special features for donating members, like no ads throughout AutomotiveForums.com.
But, for the time being, we have a great advertising campaign running.
The below banner, also seen on the top right corner on the pages of AF, is an incentive program for people to receive a free iPod. It requires participants to sign up with a few different programs, like Columbia House, and then a 40GB iPod will indeed be sent to the participant. I have confirmed that this operation is compliant with the current spam laws and that you should not receive any unsolicited mail/email.
So if you want a free iPod, this is an awesome way to get one.
However, you do not have to go through the entire process for AutomotiveForums.com to collect comission.
Click on the banner below and fill in your zip code. That is as far as you need to go :icon16:

After I gave them my zip code I brought to a page asking where I am located and Canada was on there. It even had a Non US and Canada option. Go for it.
I guess its worth it after you get through the survey stuff. Then you have to buy stuff from 2 of their advertisers webpages like Blockbuster, BMG music, etc. For a free Ipod, why not?

I tried this (don't know if it's the same site or another similar one.) I spent over 2 hours going through all the hoops they put in front of me. I ended up signing up with BMG Music Service, Blockbuster DVD by mail, and AHA (American Homeowners Association.) I thought it wasn't worth my time and ended the survey before it was completed. It seemed everytime I picked 2 choices, they would show me yet another page and want me to pick 2 more. Most if not all of the choices did not interest me. Oh, and the junk emails!!! I used to get an average of 3-5 junk emails a day, and now I get an average of 20-25, and this started a few days after I visited that site. It's been 2 months since I was on that site and I'm still getting spam from some of the sites on that survey. One thing I'd like to add for those who do decide to try for the iPod. If you sign up for a "free" trial to something. Make sure you read the fine print and if you want to cancel. make sure you do it before the end of your trial period, as it is sometimes difficult to cancel your membership without some hassels. One last thing , towards the end when I cancelled the survey, they told me in order to get my "free" iPod, I would have to email 3 of my friends and tell them about the site and have them try it out and sign up for somethings like I did. And after they did that and they (the site) checked and confirmed it. I would get the iPod in 8 to 10 weeks. Unbelieveable! Sorry if I seem to be ranting excessively in this post, but i wanted to warn potential people to be aware of what they are getting themselves into, and be careful navigating the site.

Haha you love getting organizations in trouble with the law, don't you?
Anyways, I was afraid this was another pyramid scheme. Ah well.

It's kind of obvious no-one's getting a free iPod. Aren't the 40GB iPod's about US$400 each? Now tell me what company can afford to give away $400 MP3 players away in return for no money?

After reading '97ventureowner's comments above, I'd recommend that anyone who wants to do this for AF just put in their zip code and be done, but those who want a free iPod may want to reconsider doing it through this advertisement - looks like the hassle may not even be worth $400 to go through the entire process AND the after-effects of more email advertising, etc.

that and you gotta get 3 others to sign up through all of that. igor someone deleted my thread so I'm not going to post it again, but I can post you a legit site where you only have to complete one offer and not page after page of surveys of offers. I know it works too b/c my friend got his ipod in the mail
