Hi im new to this forum and havnt had a chance to see all the current questions that have been asked.
this is probably been asked a 100 times but i would like to know the best options on getting the higest performance out of my NA MK1V aerotop automatic.

Visually my car is exactly as i want it, but want to increase performance so swapping to a 2JZ GTE isnt an option :nono:
currently i have upgraded:
1: HKS super power flow induction with stainless pipework
2: Grounding kit
3:Braided hoses
4:HKS iridium plugs
5:TRD 5" backbox

I will be getting a Blitz Nur Spec with de-cat and pipework later this year but what im really interested in is where do i go with my engine from here, Im not after crazy BHP but dont want to get blown away by scoobies lol
Was considering a Turbo upgrade or a Supercharger but have no idea where i can obtain these items and what else needs replacing to accomodate these items, if these items are to complicated then what else do you recommend that i upgrade in the engine bay to increase its performance better?
Thx for reading and plz help this desperate owner :uhoh:

The best route to go is to turbo charge the car. It has been done many times so the originality is not there but for the power it will bring it's worth it. You can get a basic turbo kit from just about anywhere, You'll need a new transmission because the stock na tranny won't take the boost, any boost really will kill it. I would suggest looking at boostlogic.com They offer a aftermarket rebuild of your tranny and also sell turbo kits as well. It's a good place and the guys there are very friendly. A buddy of mine put his 97 RSP back on the road with their tranny and kit which he's now makeing about 480 to the ground which is just what your looking for about. If you want to go for more power, it will require a engine rebuild for low comp pistons and it will allow you to run higher boost levels without running a big risk. For what your trying to do, that seems like the best way to go. He runs about 15-18psi and somewhere around 21psi on race gas. Good luck.

I think the non turbo gearbox is not as strong as the turbo

The TT will hold up to about 400 HP, after that, it's pretty much a matter of time when it goes. It's better just to go ahead and replace it if your running higher than 400. But it should be fine for anything under that number. But It still could go just like anything.
