UGH!! WHY?! People are SICK!! Someone got shot here...

Guys, I know how much we all despise 'em. But cops are people too. And if you've seen my last 2 stories, you'd know they piss me off just as much as y'all... But this is sick.

So last night I was driving down one of the major streets in our city of about 90,000 people and 8 cop cars come FLYING past me. I had no idea what was happening, so whatever. but i get to work today and everyone asks me if ive been watchign the news this morning. some 23 year old punk shitbag shot a cop on a routine traffic stop. they were talking, he pulled out a gun and shot at her, she got behind his car and he got out and shot her in the neck, then while she was laying there incapacitated, he shot her 2 more times, above her bulletproof vest. then he left. went to his parents house this morning, they ahd surveilance on the hosue, saw him chased him, he shot one of the cops in the arm then shot himself in the head. the first cop he shot is in critical but stable cond't. the second one is apparently ok and the kid is in critical in the hospital. they just had a press release. my girlfriend is friends with the kid's roommate, and talked to his g/f today. his roommate is being held too. girlfriend's gonna call when HIS girlfriend calls. nobody knows why any of this happened but im 90% sure it's drugs.

he's being charged with:
armed criminal action
1st degree assault (not attempted murder because 1st degree assualt on a police officer is higher than attempted murder)
...and he may get more since he shot a second cop.

Now I don't like cops because they get me in trouble. same reason some people may not like their parents, but i alwaays respect a cop until i feel strongly that he doesn't deserve it. Same with everyone else, in fact cops deserve more respect because they have to put up with a lot of crap. And we may not like them but this pisses me off. This just disgusts me. These people are here to make sure the good people stay safe and stay good and to keep order and some punk bitch drug dealer shoots a cop on a routine stop. Personally, my heart and my condolences go to the police department right now. God, I wish they would have shot that kid. He's not stable, he may die. But personally, it would give me more gratification to see him in prison for hte rest of his life, partially incapacitated cuz of a gunshot wound to the head.
This is the third major crime in a week. someone was stabbed to death at a gas station a few days ago. and a college professor was found dead in the back of his car, while it was burning in a parking garage, with 10 stab wounds to the chest. My landlord's the sergeant at the head of major crimes in this city too. heh, i think he needs a hug or something right now.

I'm just fuming about this cop, just doing her job, almost murdered. RESPECT. what the FUCK is wrong with these people? wtf is wrong with this town. The cops dont even KNOW how much drug traffic is going on around here. But i have a feeling they're gonna try real hard now. little bitch thinks hes a badass. I hope those cops beat his crippled ass to a pulp if he gets out of the hospital. I was at the press conference an hour ago. the chief looked SO bad. most of the cop force has been up all night with the lady cop at the ICU, hoping and praying. This sickens me.

Traffic cops are scum. I don't know of a single one who isn't an asshole.

With that said, its still no reason for one to end up being shot or otherwise injured. That kid needs to be charged, convicted and executed.:angryfire

Not all traffic cops are assholes, maybe just the ones you dealt with. Hell, both tickets Ive gotten the cops were really cool. One even complemented my car. He said he would like it if I drove slower so he could see it better. He was a real nice guy.

But shit like that is just messed up. She probably wouldnt have even found anything if it was just a traffic ticket too. What an asshole.

Nope. He did this without provocation. The cop just pulled him over for violating a traffic law, and he tries to take her life, same with the second life. HE provoked SOCIETY. I think in this case the death penalty might be a bit overboard, but a 50 year prison termwith no chance of parole should teach him good.

It costs taxpayers money to keep prisoners in prison, the longer they stay there the more it costs us. The last cop I dealt with is one of the nicest people I've had to deal with my entire life.
Not all cops are scum, true a lot of them are dicks, but look what they have to deal with, people treating them like shit, and not knowing when someone's gonna pull a gun out and shoot you.

All the traffic cops that I've dealt with (except for the security at the college) were assholes. What happened to cops that were nice, and had a good heart? Not around where I live. They are firm, strict, would never go out of their way, and always give you a ticket. Even when there was an accident and I was first on scene, and I called 911, the cop that showed up just wanted to waste my time when I was late for work.

Also how did he shoot her 3 times above the vest and she didnt die? that means shots through the throat or head. My uncle died from ONE shot to the STOMACH, not even above the chest. Also how did he shoot himself in the head and not kill himself?

I just did some research - in Florida it costs 3.2 million dollars to execute someone. It costs ~$600,000 to keep someone in prison for life. To me that would be $3.2 million well spent vs. $600,000 wasted. Cold-blooded, pre-meditated (lying in wait) murderers should be executed.

Too bad they can't just whack off their heads and throw them in the ocean. Would be a helluva lot easier.

Well, firstly when an execution is on the cards the legal process is much longer and far more expensive. Not to mention all those flashy electric chairs aren't cheap either.


I personall think giving him death is the easy way out, he needs to suffer with Bubba for 50 years at least.

The cost of litigation is way overstated. In real simplistic terms, its not as though the people who would be working on the case would be sitting around with nothing to do and twiddling their thumbs.

Not only should he be executed, it should be as painful as possible. He should go screaming in mortal terror.

I don't know american traffic cops, so I can't say much about this. However, I doubt it a bit... traffic cops must be just like other people, some nicer, some complete assholes, most in the middle.

About this kid, I just have one question: why didn't he started by shooting himself? It would save a lot of trouble!

HE DIED

Punk may deserve everything anyone would say here... but he died yesterday. He died in a coma from his self-inflicted gunshot wound. And furthermore, there were no drugs involved. Kid apparently just freaked out. The female cop opened her eyes yesterday too. Thank GOD. The kid didn't get to go through the judicial process and hopefully be incarcerated for life. Nothing. He died, in his sleep, in a warm bed, in a hospital. With no punishment for his actions. Most people might find this a good way to recover, knowing the guy is dead. I'd rather see him suffer for life.

But apparently my best girl friend knew him too, and both her and my g/f said he had a lot of problems. My g/f said the kid got detained a year.5 ago cuz a cop stopped him for not using a turn signal, or cuz his brake light was out, some REALLY simple shit like that, and before the cop could even walk up there, dood just took off running. Nothing on him, nothing in his car, no warrants. He jsut freaked out. They both said he was REALLY edgy around cops. Reports said his parents had filed a restraining order against him and he was diagnosed bipolar and suspected schitzofrantic. But my friend and I got into a huge debate and I'm sure we wont be talking for some time now. She was all upset because he died and felt sorry for this bitch. Her exact words were "it's just too bad." I responded with:
You know what's too bad? It's too bad some wannabe baller took his semi-auto handgun to a cop, having NO motive. It's too bad this poor police officer had to be shot multiple times abover her armor for no reason other than doing her job, and what's REALLY too bad is that the shooter died without justice for the ATTEMPTED MURDER of TWO police officers, who've dedicated their lives to protecting us. And now they could be injured for life. And it's too bad they let some schitzofrantic, sociopathic, bipolar asshole have a gun to be able to do this. And it's REALLY too bad that the entire town has to suffer the consequences of this hanus bullshit that happens in East Compton, not in a quiet town in the middle of the god damned country. She was pretty pissed. I dont get it!!! My girlfriend's sister was crying in her room over this kid. And pissed off my girlfriend too cuz she felt sorry for the kid. now i could understand i guess being friends with him and having a friend lost, but they're expecting ME to share this sympathy. They can BLOW ME before I feel sorry for him. Not nearly as bad as my friend, but still! This kid stood over a wounded, incapacitated person, a living, breathing, human being, and with no grudge, no motive, and for no reason, and shot her 3 times where he knew she was vulnerable. I wouldn't dare tell my g/f or my friend, but I wish the police department would have been granted the satisfaction of shoothing this kid, more than a few times. That's only if he was armed. If he came in quietly, I wish they would have had the satisfaction of putting him away for life.

This isn't half as bad as firemen in Indianapolis that responded to a fire back in 96'. Apparanetly the house that was on fire was a crackhouse and the dealer didn't want his goods destroyed, so he opened fire on UNARMED (no shit) firemen trying to SAVE HIS LIFE with a 12 guage shotgun. He killed 4 before they took him down.

Sounds just like American History X. Well there were 2, no not ONE but TWO murders in my town this week. A 65 year old man beat his wife to death with a baseball bat and i think he shot her after that. I know shes dead. I know he beat her senseless with a bat. And then some drug-related murder some dood that doesn't deserve to live shooting some other dood that doesn't deserve to live.

kinda scary that this is the kinda shit im going to be dealing with when i finish school. Im going into law enforcement, i will be one of those scum bag traffic cops for a while. All of you who dont like it, next time you get something stolen or someone kills family member of yours, dont call.

As for the cops, yes its an all to common thing. These things happen more often than you think. Just last yearin detroit, 2 cops were killed because of the EXACT same thing. They pulled a guy over, at first it was normal, the cops went back to the car to write the ticket, he got out of his car and opened fire on the two officers killing them. Their was also an incident of a cop sitting in a parking lot, not sure what he was doing. Anways a pickup truck drove up next to him and blasted him with a shotgun, he died as well. We have a law in michigan that if you see a police officer on the side of the road pulling someone over, YOU MUST leave atleast one lane between your car and the officers car as you pass him. This is because a officer got killed when a motorist driving by opened his door as he passed the cop striking the officer and killing him.

This isnt uncommon, theirs alot of nasty people in this world, just be thankful theirs people like the police trying to keep them inline, otherwise imagine what a horrible world we would live in.
