I am going to do my best to get a press pass for the road race in ATL to get some primo shots of that C6R in race action. I didn't think GM could make a better Vette race car but according to the article they did.

Looks alright, Al, but again they ruined it with colour and decals. When will they learn...

Colour and decals aren't that bad, could be much better, look at the Jeep Gladiator. Heard Jeep made a Jeep called Jeep Hurricane that has TWO HEMI ENGINES in it. It can do all kinds of shit with it's steering (front and rear) like drive around in a circle, don't think it's on that site tho...yet.

Your young, so Ill let it go, but you should understand things before posting.

No decals/stickers=No sponsors
No sponsors=No money
No money=No race team

And heaven forbid they paint a Corvette yellow...

Good find Al, that ragtop beetle is hot too.

And hell, Jeep I can drive round in circles too :p

Yellow sucks, and I know about sponsers and money, and decals, but I say if it were all up to style, you need to drop the decals, but other than that, the corvette is cool

And I think 4 wheel independant steering is what he meant.

Four wheels independent steering eh? So all four wheels are controlled seperately? And if they drop the decals, its not a racecar. Racing isnt about style, its about going fast. And they have a picture of the stock one for if you dont like the race version for crying out loud...

I like the new corvette. finally... no more pop up headlights. They do however, look very different from each other in perspective, which is kind of odd... even though I know they're both the same.

Yeah, four wheel independent steering with a hemi in the front and a hemi in the back, and about the corvette as kustmace said it's not about how it looks, it's about the performance and it's not for show, it's gonna get bashed up on the track anyways.

Yeah, I know, but I still think they ruin the car :p

And I think by independant, It means both front 2 and back 2 are steering....A tighter circle...

^Yeah^ and seperate hemi engines, one in front and one in back.

I can't take credit someone else posted the link way back. I just keep visiting it because it seems to be a very good site. That link you posted really shows how small the vette is. I was reading that the car is shorter and the wheels have been pushed further towards the four corners. It should have killer handling. I hope it wins a lot of races and I want to see more manufactures back teams up in the ALMS. Heard rumors that the 350Z may be joining the line-up in the future.

Alex: Did you look it up? The carbon fiber should be to keep the weight down.

Just saw it jeep. Next to a Hummer H1 and H2 SUT, it's my new fav off road vehicle.

Edit - Jeep, you're right, all four wheels move sperately.

expect lots of actual race-bred innovations at corvette. they race in le mans nowadays. i believe they started this in 2004. maybe 2003 -whenever the body style changed.

race decals either are done pretty cool, like on D1GP cars, or they are just stuck-on litter and look like hammered shit. i think he meant, at least from looking at the photographed vette, the sticker treatments are random and sparse-looking, without much forethought for overall design.

and, looking at the stickers, they look lame and gay. but take a look at team orange or blitz or whomever over at D1, and the decals intermesh into a theme that is carefully thought out. even JGTC cars tend to have graceful, at least nice-looking, decal treatments. even the dodge viper on that same page has those awesome race stripes. decals with that could be integrated as well, as there is already a solid theme established with the stripes as a base to work from.

i like the yellow on the vette, though. i think that looks hot.
