Problem

My car idle then the RPM drops, but the car is still running with no problem. I do not know what it is but I assume that it could be the crankshaft sensor. The car runs great but it has a hard time starting sometimes. I put a new fuel pump on the car and still it has a hard time starting. Sometimes the car can start without a problem and sometimes it will have a hard time starting. Can someone help me out?

First, what do SES stand for, I know that the engine light is on and when I got the diagnostic check it said I needed a 02 sensor/crankshaft sensor. So I do not know if it is the sensors that have the car acting the way that it do.

if the SES light(service engine soon) is on and the code it is giving you is to replace the O2 or crank sensor, i would go ahead and replace the sensor. the front O2 sensor you could pull out of a local GP(if you know someone who has a GP) and test to see what that does for you. hopefully that is all it is. the crank sensor you can reteach by doing a CASE learn

i had to do that when i put in my DHP PCM. if the problem still exist and the codes have not changed after the case learn you will have to replace the sensor.
do you have any problems at WOT(wide open throttle)? i doubt it is fuel related, or a bad spark, but those are easy fixes.

The car starts sometimes and sometimes it do not start. It always crank though, but when it do not start I sometimes wait a few minutes then try to start it and then it starts right up. I think that is the problem why my RPM is dropping.

I'd would say your Crank Position Sensor is failing.

So can not reset the crankshaft sensor when it doing what it doing or do I have to replace it with a new part

When it goes, a case learn isn't going to do any good.
