I am new to the forum, but not new to the dream of owning my first and very own muscle car.......I am almost 42 now and have been drooling for a muscle car since my early teens.
I need some help from the experts and would appreciate any help I can get!
I'm looking for a car that has very good power/fast, but also has a good ride and handles in a descent manner....I will not be racing the car and do not want a HOT ROD.....I want a good daily driver that sounds good and will get up and go when you punch the gas pedal......I would prefer that the car not be stock....some customizing is desired when it comes to suspensions and electronic ignitions etc etc........I guess what I'm asking is WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR.......Would a 66-67 Fairlane GT, 67-69 Dodge Dart, 70-73 Carmaro/Firebird, 68-70 Roadrunner/Satellite/GTX fit the bill here......I'm open to all suggestions, but I do want a good solid daily driver that can be taken on a long trip if need be!
Thanks for the advice in advance!! :)

Either a 'Vette ('67-'73) or a Camaro of the same years would fit really well, becasue there are readily available bolt on power and sound enhancers.

67-69 Dodge Dart
You can still find them for decent money. Build a 400 hp small block(318,340,360), bolt-on all of the available suspension mods from Mopar Performance, and get yourself an overdrive 904 auto trans. You'll have a reasonably smooth driving car that will get 15-20 mpg and will still look sharp. Good luck.

What can I say? I'm partial to Novas. They are light and fast. A bigger car like a Chevelle may have a little nicer ride though, but when it comes to power versus weight ratio, the Novas are hard to beat.
