ok so ive got a friend who just bought a stock supra mk3 auto turbo
i have another friend who just dropped a vr4 engine into a cordia (fwd)

now afaik the vr4 cordia would destroy the supra on the 1/4 mile
stock vr4s r claimed at 14.5s, (3200lbs) i think, supra mk3 turbs 15.0
but the vr4 is awd, the cordia is fwd, the cordia is 2300lbs

so itll bugger the launch but catch up and do a faster 1/4 mile if im not mistaken, does anyone have the numbers?

also can i get some 0-60 numbers coz im thinking the cordia would also beat the supra in the 0-60
but prolly not the 60ft

sorry to bring up 20yo battles but these guys r impatient and stupid and cant save or spend their money properly so theyre stuck with those cars :D

What's a Cordia?

Its a small FWD coupe from Mitsi.
Only a short lived model (early 80s) it was quite popular here in NZ, and during the late 80s, early 90s were frequently seen.
Now they are quite rare, most having gone to the crusher once rust took over.

The Cordia Turbo (used an early 4g62) was at the time of its release one of the fastest cars in production.

One fitted with an old 4g63 from an old VR4 Gallant could be quick, but!
When you take an engine out of one platform, and put it in another all sorts of things that made the donnor platform fast don't carry over.

Assuming the engine is making as much hp in the Cordia as it did in the VR4 then the car will be pretty quick once moving.
But there are lots things that go against it having as much hp, it would need custom fuel supply, exhaust, intake etc etc. All things that if done wrong can rob power.

Then theres the problem of putting that power to the road, and useing it.
The chassis was never designed that handle that level of power, and it will require some clever tuning and customising to make it work.
Simply spring kit and some new shocks will not be enough.
The FWD gearbox will also not be suited to the 4g63's power curve, and the ratios work as well as they could with the engine.

All that said its a lot of power in a light bodyshell.
If driven properly it will run easy 15s.
With the right suspension work and tyres, and assuming the engine is making its full 240hp then it should get into the 14s.

Kind of reminds me of a cross between an AE86 and a Pulsar GTi-R
