Starts like it's carbrated

I have a 93 Bravada and it starts like a carb engine when it's cold started. Idmediatly after it starts and runs, if turned off and restarted, it will start normal, but let it sit for a hour or more, it starts hard again. I have had the fuel pump and filter replaced, and the previous owner had the engine rebuilt which has only 40k on it. Is there a computer for the fuel injection that can be tuned to fix the problem? or do the injectors need to be replaced? It has all new bosche plat plugs and wires, and i have frequently run injector cleaner through the system but it still has problems.
Also, it idles rough, like the idle is set to low, and when you step on the gas slightly and let off, it nearly stalls and then goes back to rough idle. I'm told you can't adjust the idle, being its computer-controlled. Is there a way to correct rough idle, or does anyone out there expirence this?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I finally broke down and took it to the GM dealer. They replaced of all the bad leaking fuel injectors (did not know this) for a mere $890 plus a new EGR valve and fuel preasure valve all for a grand total of $1398. Needless to say it runs like new, but was it worth it? Seeing I have owned it since 94 and have sunk 15 grand into it, I can't get rid of it.

Is the Check Engine light on?
Here's how to check a '91-'94 Bravada for trouble codes:
Jumper the 2 top right hand holes on the assembly line diagnostic link(ALDL)under the steering column-lower dash area then turn on the ignition switch and count the check engine light flashes. You'll get a single then double flash...1-2 or code 12 three times which means the computer is saying "Ok Pal, I'm gonna tell ya any trouble codes stored". Any codes stored will flash 3 times. After all the codes stored are shown you'll get another set of code 12's which let's you know "that's all folks" unless you want to see again which it'll then just keep reporting the stored codes. When you get through, just cut the ignition switch off and pull your jumper wires. To reset the check engine light, disconnect either battery cable for 15 to 20 seconds.Let us know what codes are stored and we'll discuss what's the problem.

autozone checks these for free, but knowing how to display them manually could come in handy

You have only 15 G's in your Bravada? If it was an old jalopy...maybe good maybe not but you gotta nice AWD Bravada and a whole lot better money deal than me with mine...you're a lucky Bravie.
ps don't forget your trans fluid & filter change.
