b16 boggin

hey guys i got a question. I have a crx with a b16a swap and people say it should be faster then it is. I cant even beat my friends eclispe gt. It seems to bog out a lil bit at low rpms but it seems to be fine when i get on it. i took it to a buddys house and he checked the timing and it was on. He said it had something to do with burning oil in the valves. I dont know what is going on. Any suggestions? thanks

Could also be fuel related maybe fuel filter,injectors.

what do you run in the 1/4 mile ?

burning oil would usually cause blue smoke. have you tried checking o2 sensor? my d15 had a bad o2 sensor and runs like crap(even though i run it at 2000rpms city, you can hear it struggling even though my cousin's d15 hatch is heavier and can do the same thing with ease). also with the bad o2 sensor, my car was running rich.

try taking off youre intake cone, if its one of the mushroom tip ones and you push it on all the way it can restrict the hell out of you. then advance youre timing all the way, and then make sure that your check engine bulb wasnt taken out by doing the little check engine test. search the forum for the thread on how to check your check engine codes

a b16 hatch should easily take eclipses
my b16 del sol would take gsx's, also if you know what vtec sounds like then listen for the different stages, listen to the change at 4500 rpm and the next one at like 6500. youll hear it go from zzzZzzzZzzzZzzzZ to zzZzZzZzZzZ to ZzZZzZzZzZZ
