84 bird engine swap

my son has an 84 bird and blew the engine,v6231 700r4 trans ihave a built 351 windsor and c6 trans to give him if it is a do able swap any suggestions would be appreciated

if your son had a mustang i would say yes good idea. but in the 84 f-body?? no. if he wants the car to have a v8, chevy small blocks are an easy swap. if you do have the v6 it would be the 173ci 90 degree v6, and you most likely have the 200c or 200r4 tranny, if you do have a 700r4 w/a 231ci 1980 monza engine then all you need is the small block. if you put a v8 into a v6 car you will need to beef up the front springs, rad, and get a new exaust system. and thats only a start. if you try to put the ford engine into it... well i think thats a first.
