Rear Speakers?

Do some civics not come with rear speakers? And if they don't come with them, do they run the wires anyway? I have don't have any in my 88 DX. I at first thought that they didn't come with them at all, but then started seeing some posts about rear speakers. Anyway, just wondering.

It was a dealer option. You could buy a rear speaker kit that basically held speakers on top of the rear cargo trays which the cargo cover rests on. It's actually on the rare list of options, but they pop up here and there.

Actually it's a 90 STD model. My goal is to try to get it near to a DX (like yours) as possible. The red center piece and wiper were all installed by yours trully. I even went as far as to get the rear headliner handles which the passengers in the back grab on too. Works great in my opinion.

And now, I'm trying to get those stupid rear speaker pods and a cargo cover which I sadly don't have yet.

Nothing a good ol dremel and a 4"x6" speaker can't do. My hatch never came with rear speakers but thank God Honda ran the wires just in case. They are hidden behind your rear corner lights compartment.
