Right now I'm looking at 2 cars and I need help deciding which is a better buy. Either a Lexus IS300 (5-Speed) or an Acura RSX Type-S (6-Speed). I like both cars but cant decide which one to go with.

Thats a tough one, but if you're looking for speed, the RSX is faster, and probably more affordable too, so I'd go with that.

WOW, i never thought of that... ive been stuck between the IS300 and the BMW 325, but i never thought of the Acura RSX...um... i think there both GREAT cars... and i have driven the IS300, and i absolutely love it, but i have read ALOT about the RSX type S, and now i REALLY want one... i think i would go with the IS300, based on reliability, and although the Rsx type S is faster, not by much, i think after ver few after market parts the Lexus could out preform the acura on every aspect. (if thats what your interested in)
*hope it helps*

Rsx type-s would get you better milage, probley cheaper insurance because. Also is300 are heavy but if turbo it it would be alot fast thoe..

How much faster is the RSX-S than the IS300?

haven't driven an rsx, but the is300 is pretty sweet. plenty of power to have real fun, and you can't hang the tail on an rsx. not easily anyways. do you have friends? they may not like getting stuffed in the back of an rsx.

The Rsx starts at 20k. The lexus starts at 29k.

is300 RSX

Horsepower: 215hp@5,800RPM 160hp@6,500RPM

Engine liters: 3.0 2.0

I would choose the RSX becaust its cheaper and a spory loking coupe. Sedans aren't my type anyways.

the RSX handles worse and has ALOT less torque.
