I have a 96 teg and am on a limited budget. i was wondering should i just lower the car and do more to the interior than the exterior. or put a body kit and and work on the exterior more???

or you could leave the body alone and do the performance first? that way when it comes time to make your car look fast, youll already have the power to back it up.

I advise you to make up your own mind :D Really it comes down to what you really want to do. Suspension is definently a good starting point though. Better handling and a lower stance will make your car more enjoyable to drive. The way I think of visual mods is that doing the interior is more for you, and doing the exterior is more for others. If you spend most of your time with the car actually driving it, I'd suggest doing the interior first because you're going to be on the inside more than looking at the outside of the car. But if you just cruise around and are looking more for getting head turns then the exterior should be first. That's just my opinion, but you should do what you're comfortable with. It's your car, the rest of us don't have to see it or drive it every day; you do.

ok and another thing is it is a daily driver for me. but i also want a nice show car, but since i drive it daily and there is more chance of it getting scratched or something should i work on performance and show equally and not go to crazy on looks or should i still go ahead with all show

Greenblurr is right you need some power to back up your looks.
I say start with performance then compliment it with some looks.
Suspension does both, aggressive appearance and good handling. So this is a win win situation.
Most ppl start with i/h/e. Intake is most popular performance part to start with.

IMO (very biast) i'd say get rims (dont go chrome), type-r spoiler/front lip, painted side skirts and shaved moldings (that's my next visual upgrade).
as for performance, intake, header, exhaust and when the money comes new cams and pistons (or if you wanted to go the F/I route, turbo)
...2 cents
