I have a 95 Eclipse GS-T with some performance done to it, and just yesterday brand new tires on it and they want to give me 2000 for a trade in....it does have 116000 miles, but damn, think i will sale it myself for over twice that price. Also what needs to be done besides the timing belt at 120,000 miles?
Side note, for anyone w/ there tires wearing badly on the inside check the tie rods...my left front is squirrely as shit, and if not replaced within a year i have a good chance of it breaking and fallin off. Right now though i aint gonna spend the money to fix it since i plan on selling my car at the end of this semester.

As far as the price is concerned that's about right. A 96 GST 100k wholesales about $2500.

Yea that sucks NStyle. Blue book value of a 95 GST in good condition is about 2450.00 with 116000 miles on it. They should at least give you around 3grand. As far as the performance mods go the dealer will tell you that they "don't like" modified cars, so they can low ball you. Then they will put it on their lot and write "custom" or "modified" on the windshield so they can get more money for it. It sucks how car dealerships work. But hey, thats how they make their money. If I were you and I had the stock parts still I would take all the aftermarket shyt off and then trade it in. And sell your aftermarket stuff seperately. Good luck with that.

I wouldn't expect it to get much better, our cars will be 2 generations old very soon.

When I bought my car 5 years ago the 90s were 10 years old. Now my 95 is the same exact thing. Scary. :D And yeah, the value is sinking like a rock. Starting to think I should just let the thing sit in the back yard for a year (redneck stylee) until I feel like working on it... Must have dropped when the year changed or something, I dont remember it being this depressing a few months ago.
