Front blinker bulb replacement: '96 Taurus

How do I get to the front signal flashers to replace a bulb without tearing down the whole front end? There is no visible way to get to them and the headlights seem to have some "hidden" or "covered" bolts holding them down. Mostly "covered" bolts on the outside where I have to remove something else to get the headlight out.

The guy at the dearler's parts counter may be able to look in the factory repair manual and tell you for the price of the replacement bulb.

I have had poor luck with guys at the parts counter knowing how things fit on the car. My attempts on other things have proven futile there. ...plus I may also want to put a different color bulb or whatever in there. :p

the headlight has 4 bolts on top of it, take them out and the headlight slides out, then you can access the turn signals

OK, I'll see about that later on. Did they intend for the Ford mechanics to replace these lights or something? They could have just as easily cut a bigger hole so that I could get my hand down in there to replace the bulb without affecting anything (especially headlight allignment!). Fortunately, it shouldn't take me too long to get it back in though.

if you retighten the headlight bulb sleeve and headlamp retaining bolts properly, the lights should be alligned exactly the same as they were before.
