I just got a car and i want to do some serious changes to the exterior. I want to make a fiberglass bodykit. Thats where i need help.
I dont know that much about fiberglass and i was wondering if anyone knows how to make a fiberglass bodykit and what you need to do the project. I was wondering if anyone can help me out because i dont know where to start.

Check out the fabrication forum under Cars In General, I answer fiberglass questions there several times a week, lots of info if you look around.

theres a thread on bodykit fabrication in this damn forum section!! and its like 17 pages long. lol.. you might want to try searching.. that will help.

if you've never worked with fiberglass before i suggest you try small projects first before attempting to make a kit.

goodluck! and KEEP IT CLEAN

I work with composite material, and I dont think it would be a good project to start with. You gotta know your stuff. You need to make a tool. The tool is the most important part.

Many Have Tried Few Have Had Sucess. It Might Be Cheaper For You To Go And Buy A Kit, Than To Waste Money On Materials And Such And Try To Make One. Unless You Know What Youre Doin, But Since You Sound Pretty New To Fiberglassing It Wouldnt Be Recommended.good Luck Though, I Like Doing Things Myself To But Some Projects Are Better Off Just Buying.

I dont know that much about fiberglass
That sentance right there means "I shouldn't even be trying to do this project because it's going to turn out like shit because I don't know that much about fiberglass". My two cents, don't try it unless you have had quite a bit of experience with it. I've done a lot of fiberglass work and I still won't even try to make my own body kit....
