I need to get an air intake to allow air in better for a new cam kit. what is the best air intake kit i can get? i would prefer it be enclosed cuz i have been in places where i have got mud and water inside the closed stock box. i was lookin at a GMS for like $240 but that seems a lil much for only pickin up like 15hp, $16 per hp.

here's something I heard but haven't tried. buy the K&N filter, a piece of metal to form around the filter and a piece of pvc pipe to add length to the hose and build your own setup. The most expensive part is the filter. The hardest part is cutting the metal to fit around the kit. I don't remember where I saw this and the specific details but it should not be very difficult to put together.
good luck

If getting things into a cold air intake type set up is a problem for you, have you looked into a snorkel??? Might be the ticket. They are relatively easy to build, depending on how you mount it & what you want it to look like. Can use all kinds of things from PVC to aluminum conduit. I have even seen them made out of clothes dryer hose... Then you can use an open element type filter like a K&N, just may have to build a metal shroud on one side.... Just an idea to ponder..??...
