Anyone ever try fixing the common front bumper gap on the TB?
The rest of the body panels seem decent, but this gap has started to annoy me.

It is there by design....go figure. I have seen this item on e-bay for some time, but never bought one as the gap really hasn't bugged me too bad yet :) Looks like a piece of rubber strip/moulding, but does clean it up a lot...

Yep I am going to ask the dealership when I go in for my diff service. I anticipate they will point to every other TB on the lot and say that's how it's supposed to be.
Just wondering if anyone actually took the bumper off and can see why it fits the way it does. I am guessing it is to save money, but I can't believe it hasn't been fixed over the years.

If you're talking about the larger than life gap. Yes, it is normal. Parts that are made out of an impact resistant polymer need to have larger gaps for expansion and contraction. I used to own a Saturn VUE, which had most of it's body panels made out of polymer...talk about large gaps. It's designed that way so they don't warp or crack under expansion.

Does the eBay gap filler defeat the expansion function? It'd be pretty much of a bummer to put a rubber filler in there, only to have it cause the panel to buckle because it couldn't expand properly...

Nope...I think they are made out of plastic/rubber....so they expand and contract as well. I'm not too keen on the look of the ones I've seen, but maybe the ones on eBay are better.

I purchased the rubber strip on Ebay. Installation was a breeze and does enhance the look a bit.
