Killed by 04' Cobra!!!!! Ford Family Feud 2.

As life would have it, the first race of the year start with me and my big mouth starting drama. Riding around Sat at 5:00 pm. To go eat at the china buffet with some friends. The friends or SRT-4 and Toyota Celica GT. After playing in some back road twisty, we pull in to the China Buffet lot, and then a loud ass Red Mustang GT comes roaring by. We all start cracking up until he looks at us and rev it in neutral. I say, “Aint dat bout ah bitch!” Know each of my friends thoughts, we all jump in our cars and give chase. The SRT-4 runs up on him and they gun it and the Stock SRT-4 pull the clear coat of his shit from a 30 mph roll. We all pull over and talk for a bit. The guy said he like all our cars and he likes my Mach 1 the best. Know here come the usual shit I get with my car. The Red Mustang GT owner said,” I got a friend that loves to race but nobody ever run anymore, will you race him? He got a Cobra!” I know they made less than 10,000 of the Mach 1’s and a they made a whole nation of Cobras with Superchargers, but Damn, was I the only sucker who was to broke to afford one? Well maybe not today, so I tell him to bring dat ass. Gave the Guy my number and told him to call tonight and we would do it at THE SPOT.

You all wouldn’t believe it, but yes, everybody’s friend do have a faster car than yours, and yes it a damn Cobra with a Supercharger modified or not. It depends on your application ( how fast you are). Most of the time they lie just to let me know I aint shit. Little do they know, I already know that fact cause my Dear Mother tells so, often. By the pictures below, you will see that a Dark Silver Metallic Cobra brought dat ass to see little ole me. Hey, this is the real street shit! I aint no Bitch, yet. I’m going to race him and give him N/A hell.

Well, here we are about to set up and that Cobra just cleans his tires and makes the whining noise so hard, I thought my car stalled because the Mach 1 was so quite. No pipe music or nothing. And dumb ass guy flagging us wouldn’t line me up a little farther in front of the Cobra and I know the bitch. He is off my party list far sure. The hands drop, I nail the launch with a little wheel spin, perfect. The Cobra’s independent suspension gives up the ghost with some wheel hop but we are neck and neck in first gear with me in the front. I slide like am on butter hitting second and we start to even out, then he gets a bumper on me with that damn Supercharger in my ear. Whine’n and shit. It is loud ass hell, he should get a two car length foul for disturbing a Mach 1 Racer. I spin third as I do normally, but that don’t mean shit. He’s pulling slowly but steady in the middle of my third ( Cobra has 6sp and Mach 1 5speed). Fourth gear, the shit aint funny know more, still pulling. In the ¼ mile the Cobra a car length and a half. We shut down at a 120 something. And he was two car length then. Mach 1 KILLED.



It was a great race, Even thou I’m typing this from a Funeral Home, never the less a good race. Did you guys know that a Mach 1 and it’s driver fit comfortable in a Funeral Hurst. With flowers our not. Also, the Mortician in the Hurst with a Tru Mach 1 Racer in it still be a Civic with boost on the way to the Funeral Home.

In 2006 they should be coming out with another version in the new body style. It'll probably be pretty damn badass.

I don't know of any more Cobras being made in 2005. SVT, the in house people at Ford, are tooling around with the new GT Mustang to make a Cobra model. They would not waste their time on a Cobra built on the old plantform.

I'm having trouble following your story due to the grammer used in it. If that is in fact your Mach 1, then nice car (Why are there pics of a blue one and an orange one?). Mach 1's are quick, and from what i've seen they run with the Cobras, due to having a better suspension to begin with.

You can tell because it doesn't have the shaker hood, plus it has the light headlights and not the fogged. So it's a 99 model..and they didn't make mach 1s in 99.

I tell him to give him my number and call tonight, and we'll race at the "racing spot."

I shift perfectly into second and he starts evening out w/ me, then he gets a bumper in front of me, and then i can hear that damn supercharger. That things loud as hell whining and shit, he should get a two car length foul for disturbing a mach 1 racer. I get to third like i normally do, nothin special. He's pulling slowly but steadily as i reach the middle of third gear, the cobra has a 6 speed, the mach 1 a 5 speed. I hit fourth gear and the cobra's still pulling ahead, in the 1/4 mile the cobra had a car length and a half, we shut down around 120, he was 2 car lengths ahead. Mach 1 = Killed!

Nice death. I got killed by a GT mustang 03 model the other day. Cruising along about 30-35, he comes up next to me and i gun it, get a good car length jump on him then the next thing i know i may as well be sitting still the way he flew by me, lol. This was in a bronco by the way :lol:

To tell the truth, many people use some form of slang. However, if you believe my story was challenging to read. You would have a difficult time being around many racers here. The faster cars and or trucks are owned by people whom are considered country and speak terrible. My terminology is most defiantly not Ghetto, CassiesMan. Moreover, I speak very well, I’ve already posted once using proper English for those who are not street literate. This last post is just how everything happened here in the moment.

This word has also been associated with Ghetto people and considered slain because it wasn’t proper English. However, it will be in your Webster Collegiate Dictionary as a substitute for is not. They have a kit for the Mach one that puts it deep into the 11's (I believe using a vortech supercharger). I'm not too enamored with the 03/04 Cobra because of their weight, and that crappy IRS ford put on them (Can you say broken halfshafts?). With drag radials, and a good launch, you'd probably murder one really badly. I've read about ones with headers, CAI, and gears running 11's. The suspension on those cars is bomb, to say the least. Most any idiot can coerce a good 60' time out of one.

What you say is true. However, what I takes to put the Mach 1 in the 11's is at least $3,000 with Nitrous, rear end work, and slicks. And the Supercharge 11's will cost $5,000 to start. I can't afford either right know. A smaller pulley and program will put a Cobra in the mid to low 12's with good tires for about $1,200.

Some where in here, I said I was not stock. Borla Stinger Cat Back, Diablo Sport predator, K&N fiter. Secondly, I can drive my Mach 1. There are many who can't. This car launches way better than a Cobra IRS. I have solid rear axle. Third, was the Mach you ran and Man Tans or Auto. That make a world of difference. About a .5 in 1/4 mile stock vs stock Mach 1.

What is your 1/4 in that 5.0 Mustang. Mach 1 Man Trans will run 13.2 @ 105 mph stock. Many Cobra Drivers can't get their cars pass 12.9 in the 1/4 due to driver error and independant rear wheel hop in first and second gear. Also Cobras are 6 speed, I can make the 1/4 with 1,2,and 3. I haven't driven one, but I bet they need 1,2,3, and 4 to do the 1/4 mile.

I was chillin wit my dogs and we saw this loud ass Civ roll by on some tyte rims, and I was like, damn yo, that stuff be banging. Personally I think the slang and stuff he uses is quite amusing. Especially when he's like "i told him to bring dat ass." That's some good shit right there. Not that I would ever talk or type like that...it adds his character to the whole story and you can understand how he was thinking during the events. Plus I kind of think it's fun trying to decipher what he's saying..and yeah "ain't dat bout ah bitch" is like saying "isn't that a bitch?".

My Mustang is a high 13/low 14 second car, but it works especially good on the highway, where we went from 5th to 3rd. And I don't know if it was an auto, didn't talk other than a thumbs up. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Mach 1's. They are great cars, and I would buy one if I was in the market for a car in that price range.

I like you, first i'm not from Little Rock but I work here. St. Louis MO. is were I'm from and will go back there when my job is done. BMW's are upscale if their not cheap ($30,000 and lower is cheap), used, or more than 3 years old. That means it better be new or a collectable. However, this is street racing and not tea and crumpets so they would have to type up too many kills up here. There will be no war of words for the new guy here on these posts. Texas is not that far for us to have a good race, right.
