I am trying to decide between buying a 1994 Aerostar Eddie Bauer 4WD with 151,000 miles for $2600 which has the 4 spd automatic transmission, or buying a 1997 Aerostar XLT 4WD with 94,000 miles for $3488 which has the 5 spd automatic. At first glance, you might say, "Well, go with the 1997, since it has lower miles". The thing is, the 1997 is 5 hours away and it is being sold at a dealership. I'm very leary of why they would be selling it for such a good price. The 1994 is being sold by a private party and it is very clean. Was also wondering if there were any pros and cons between the different transmissions that came in the 4.0 in 1994 (4 spd) and the 4.0 that came in the 1997 (5 spd).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
