I recently sold my '89 LX to my dad (and replaced it with a VR4). The Mustang runs low 14's, and once the gears are in, high 13's I suspect. He has some money, and I guess wanting to destroy me, is going to put some into the car in the Spring. He's looking at two different things right now: either a 347 stroker kit or a Holley Systemax II kit (I/H/C). I know the Systemax is twice the price, but which do you suppose would be more worth the money? The 347 will run about $1300 and the Systemax $2500, no installation. Let's look at performance for the buck, and any other or additional suggestions are welcome. That's the LX in the pic below. Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, the Mustang has so far: rebuilt engine/bored to 306ci, K&N, headers, X-pipe (no cats), exhaust. That's pretty much it, but it runs stronger than it should. The final little trinkets like mass air and throttle body, with the gears will be done before the bigger thing.

if he is jsut gunna put on the parts and call it a day i would definatly go wiht the h i c combo. you shold see more power for less hassel on the install. it should be in the 300 hp ballpark. the 347 can always go in later{or jsut a whole new shortblock :}
