K & N 98 gtp

My 98 gtp is pretty much stock. If I was to buy a K & N filter and not do anything to the box like gut it, would it improve my performance or add any hp?

It never did not me. The big thing about K&N filters is that you can clean them and reuse. And how long till you have to change.
