jdm b16 that is , in a 94 hatch my friend has the hatch with i/h/e fuel rail , fuel pressure regulator , lsd , and a chipped ecu .... he was running my other friends gsr with just intake and a 2' drop ... 1st run on the highway the gsr pulled on him up to about 90 then they shut em down ... 2nd run was from 40 and the hatch started pulling a tad bit in the middle of third , but by the middle of fourth the gsr was getting in front ... this was a totall shocker to me and my friends watching , we all thought the gsr was gonna lose ... the drivers are both real good and they are about even , with a slight edge going to the hatch driver...can anyone tell me why this race might have turned out this way ?? the hatch is in peek condition too , has had every flaw fixed in it over the last month ...

The hatch should win, or maybe he has lots of weight packed in it. Yeah the GSR has "more" torque (which is really not much), but its also heavier, and the hatch is putting around 190 hp or so, while the teg is putting 175 or so...weird things happen in racing....

i was wondering if it may be due to him reving to 9 on a stock valvetrain ??he's all syked about being able to do it , but im not sure if he even builds power past 8400 ...plus he has 18's on his car ...but it still should pull away from that gsr

what can i say *tears* Gsr power is great. LOL just goofin'. I agree with you guys even though i have a gsr, the hatch should have won. But then again ive seen crazier things happen in racing. On paper he would have won but on the street its all different
