Dumping fuel and running really rough!

Hey guys, I have a 98 bravada with a 4.3 liter engine and I just had to replace my intake manifold gasket due to coolant leak. When I put everything back together and tried to start the vehicle, I got hydro-static lock in a couple of cylinders. Not sure how this happened. I removed the plugs and got rid of the lock, removed the fuel pump relay
and turned the engine over a few times to burn off the excess fuel. But
everytime I hook up the relay again, she attempts to lock up again. I have a distinct feeling that I put the distributor in wrong and screwed up the timing, but very difficult to tell where #1 TDC is. There are 2 lines on the crank pulley, which one is which? A little help here is greatly appreciated. Thanks

According to my '97 book, the mark that lines up with the crankshaft/balancer keyway is the one to get TDC on the timing tab. I guess the bolt and washer that holds the balancer on will have to be removed from the end of the crank to see the keyway but you might use a mirror and strong flashlight to know for sure.
