I'll be getting a set at some point to replace my wrong Hella 4000s. They look good, but they are fog pattern... which sucks. I was told they were floods when I bought em.

how's the glare from inside? Afraid of ripping them off with trees? did you get any lenses?

The glare instide is less (by a factor of 10, at least that is what it feels like) than what I had with the KCs.

Nope not afraid of taking them off with trees, the mount is better than my KCs and they never moved (granted the KCs were a few inches smaller)

I got the infa-red, the opaque (uncovered high power lights above the hood line are against the law in WA) and the flood lenses. I also have the 6 vf bulb comming for them, the 2 vf bulb is really made to go on your bumper the light patteren in like this -0- narrow beams to the sides of the spot, with the 6 vf bulb the patteren chagnges to just the spot (and it will be even brighter)

I am going to get a set of thier 140s for my back up lights :hehehe:

Ben

edit to correct the bulbs (duh it is a 12 volt system the 2 vf and 6vf are the model of bulb)

Another great Aussie product.

I will be getting some soon too.
I am trying to get Todd to be a dealer, then I can support an Australian and a Xterra company at the same time.

2V bulbs? 6V bulbs? I don't see anything about that on their site. As for the spot-only beam on the 6V, that too seems odd since the entire thing has variable focus like a Mag Lite. Care to elaborate?

Goliath, yet another sig pic that I have in my collection! Did you find that one exploring from my link to your last one?

They are $231.99 from Central 4 wheel drive (http://www.central4wd.com)

The bulb sizes are on the Australian site, and the way they change the light pattern between the bulbs is by using different orientation on the filament in the bulb (horizontal vs. vertical) and size/shape of the filament.

Thanks for the dollar figure on the lights. Not as much as I expected. How large are they? They look to be about 8 inches in diameter. Do you have the address for the aussie site?

Brent - I must admit, I did steal the picture from ya. It was too good and I couldn't pass it up. =-)

I have to agree with you. After reading the sites these look like some bad ass lights! I think these will be going on my ARB after I get some SR plates for my underbelly.

The ability to adjust the beam seems very cool. Does it work as well as I am imagining?

Yes and no ;-)

It looks almost exactly like a mag light beam, so when you have it turned into full flood mode there is a dark spot in the center, but if you put on the flood lens it is supposed to refocus the light and get rid of that. I only found one review on the web where the guy uses them in full flood mode.

I do not think they will fit on the ARB, like a dumbass I did not think of setting them there to see if they would fit till after I had them wired in :bloated:

I think for my truck I am going to put a set of the 170's down on the arb and one more 240 up top.
